Stringing the bow: The top limb of your Zipper has a slightly larger tip than
the bottom limb. Its purpose is to
aid in stringing the bow. Place the string on the bottom limb first, and then –
USING A STRINGER – slide the string into place on the top limb. Once strung, you may leave the bow strung throughout the
hunting season. Setting the nock
point: Allow the bow square to rest on the bow shelf. Measure ½” above the square (90 degrees)
to set your initial nock
point on the string. Brace height: The brace height of your Zipper is measured from the
string to the edge of the window. You
can experiment with different brace heights until you find the one that gives
you the best arrow flight. The brace height can be adjusted by twisting the
string. To increase the brace height:
Leave the string on the top limb and twist the bottom of the string clockwise
several times. Then, restring and measure
the new brace height. The suggested brace height measurement of the Zipper recurve bow, with the Standard riser should be between 7 to 7-½”. This suggested brace height measurement of the Zipper recurve
bow, with the Extreme riser should be between 6- ½” to 7”. ---------- This suggested brace height measurement of the Zipper longbow, with the Standard riser should be between 7-¼ ” to 7-¾ ”. This suggested brace height measurement of the Zipper longbow,
with the Extreme riser should be between 6-¼ ” to 6-¾ ”. NOTE: The above
brace heights are suggested. Like
hand guns, rifles and black-powder guns, the archer must find the brace
height that works best for them with their custom bow. |
Now that you have your bow tuned and ready to shoot…
grab some arrows, go out, pick a spot
and Let ‘em fly!
